Introduction

The 1st International Chinese Medicine Festival (ICMF) is the first ever international Chinese medicine festival in the world. It was planned and organized by the Modernized Chinese Medicine International Association. The Festival is co- organized by many other professional associations, universities, government agencies and business organizations in providing many of the entertaining and educational programs for the Festival.

The goal to organize ICMF is to celebrate not only the ever-rejuvenation of Chinese medicine that nurtures and maintains the health of the Chinese people for thousands of years, but also the restoration of Chinese medicine's legal status in Hong Kong. We hope that the entertaining and educational programs in the ICMF will make it easier for people to learn about Chinese medicine and to appreciate more our rich cultural heritage.

ICMF's activities span about one week. The programs will be conducted through out the Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territory for the convenience of the citizens and tourists to participate. The most notable programs include a Conference & Exhibition, a Public Health Forum, a TV Quiz Competition, a Herbal Banquet, and a Carnival etc. Many of the programs are free and suitable for the whole family to participate.
